Being able to visit Rome was honestly a dream come true. All my life, I have dreamed of traveling to Italy to visit Roman ruins and to eat lots and lots of pasta. And that is just what I did! What made this trip extra special was that I got to share my experiences with my boyfriend, Michael, who hopped on a plane from the states just to come visit me. To be able to experience wandering into the Colesium, seeing the Pope speak, and eating too much gelato with him is something that I will cherish forever. I definitely left a piece of my heart in Rome, and I will always remember the cobblestone streets, the millions of churches, and the incredible wine.
What made Rome great, too, was that it was easy to navigate. All the ruins, the Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon were relatively close to one another, so it made things very easy. No public transportation needed! It was also a little over a mile walk to Vatican City from our hotel, so of course, we needed to pop by and say hello to the Pope. To anyone considering traveling to Rome, do it. Just do it. It is so worth. Here is a little video of our time in Rome to show you just how worth it it is!
